Yao'spersonality and IQ presented in daily work and.life is often overlooked, andIMO that's one of the contrbuting factors he was successful in NBA (besides theinjuries). There had been Wang Zhizhi and there would be Yi, both failed toreach their ceilings due to various reasons, among them failing to truly adaptto American's culture and life is a crucial one. Both are just not ascharismatic or ''bright'' as Yao.

Yao wasdifferent. He first picked up English extremely fast (he is definitely gifted),and quickly had a grab the American sense of humor and became adept at which isone of the significant barriers for Chinese or most Asians. Imagine back then,there's no r/nba teaching him how to think or behave, but hehandled all the interviews, all star appearances well amongst doubts and evendespise. There's so little marked trails he could follow, he traversed it thruhimself.

And lookat him now, after a decade in the US, he masterfully stepped into Chinesbasketball fairs and politics which is not drastically different than that ofUS but also extremely beauracratic. He is bounded to be successful at whateverhe does, except maybe his wine business lol

姚明与众不同，他来到美国后很快地就学会了英语，很快就get到了美式幽默，这是大多数中国人或者亚洲人在美国生活遇到最大的障碍之一，想象一下当时姚明来到美国并没有人可以指导他如何交流和交际，但是他自己处理好了所有的采访，在外界质疑的全明星中有着很好的表现，他能学习的前辈太少了，几乎是他自己一个人在美国打拼出来一片天地。

现在回看姚明，在美国呆了10年以后，他成功地进入了中国篮球管理层，这和他在NBA打拼没什么不同，不管姚明做什么，他都一定会获得成功，除了他的葡萄酒生意哈哈。
